I Am That is not for everyone, but if you are interested in fundamental questions such as "Who am I?" and "What is real?" drop all your other reading and pick up this book. Masterfully translated and infinitely quotable, this nondual classic from the late Indian sage Nisargadatta Maharaj carries a palpable transmission of the enlightened perspective. I bought my copy in India in 1996, and for many years enjoyed its steady companionship. Now it has found a special spot on my shelf, quietly offering company like an old friend who no longer requires much conversation, just deep and silent appreciation.

The Mandala Healing Kit features Dr. Judith Cornell's original methods for applying the sacred art and science of mandalas as a healing art. It comes with an easy to follow guide book paper, colored pencils, stencils, and a specially compiled CD of music including one of my most popular songs, "My Heart Spinning." (The guide book also features a few of my mandala drawings.) This kit makes it simple for you to begin discovering your innate ability to outwardly express the sacred beauty within you. Also by Judith Cornell, I recommend Mandala: Luminous Symbols for Healing a beautifully illustrated, award-winning book. The 10th anniversary edition includes a companion CD of meditations and exercises. You can learn more about Judith and her ground-breaking work at www.mandala-universe.com.

The Lazy Way to Success
After all the spiritual and psychological exploration I've done over the years, I've got to say that this book was like a magic pill that finally tied it all together and catalyzed an important transformation in the way I work, play, think, and live. Its effect has been immediate and obvious. At first glance it may seem that the book is only about business and financial success, but its message is much more far-reaching and deeply profound. It illustrates the practical reality of the Taoist koan "Do without doing, and everything is done." The web page where you can order the e-book is a bunch of hype, so read this article instead: How To Do Nothing and Accomplish Everything. If you like the article, you'll love the book. It is a practical, entertaining, and enlightening read I highly recommend to pretty much everyone! (The book is also available in a hardcover version that costs slightly more, but you'll have to wait for the mail and won't get audio files and other bonuses that you get with the e-book.)

Other books to check out:

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle offers a highly accessible, non-tradition-based approach to enlightened awareness.
Talks With Ramana Maharshi is another nondual classic. More heart-based than I Am That, but not as lucidly translated.
The Art of Dreaming by Dr. Jill Mellick
Free Play by Stephen Nachmanovitch
